Job Description

Development and design of complete machines as well as innovative and sophisticated products in the field of metering equipment for process plants.
Planning and controlling of the execution of development projects by service providers, among others, including project structure plan, effort estimation, scheduling, cost calculation and risk management.
Independent design and development of components, considering quality and cost optimization potentials.
Calculation of components of our mechanical systems, e.g. pressure shock resistance, finite element method, static mechanics
Carrying out tests in our technical center as well as occasionally at the customer's site
Analysis of mechanical engineering regulations as well as solving questions and issues with authorities
Interdepartmental coordination of design variants and determination of solutions
Documentation and presentation of work results - internally as well as at customer sites
Bachelor or Master in Mechatronic / Mechanical Engineering or comparable education
Sound experience in design in mechanical engineering, plant engineering or special machine construction
Experience in the use of CAD programs, preferably SolidWorks and/or AutoCad
Confident handling of the common MS Office tools, ideally already experience in working with SAP
Confident application of the relevant standards and regulations
Ability to work in a team and goal oriented
Intercultural competence, initiative taking and team spirit
Fluency in German and English

About the Department
You will be joining the Feeders R&D team in the Cement Industry as a Mechanical Development Engineer. The Feeders R&D has the responsibility of developing new sustainable solutions to the cement industry specifically within the areas of feeding of fuels in the burning process in the cement plants. There is an increased focus on reliable feeding systems for alternative fuel types. The R&D team for feeder development consists of a combination of technical specialists, including but not limited to mechanical/electrical engineers, software developers and project managers. Furthermore, we have close partnerships with universities and commercial partners around the world.
