- Analyze problems and establish general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, and processes.
- Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Collaborate with team members on projects to determine priorities and implications on work of others.
- Provide effective solutions and define appropriate deliverables needed to solve client issues.
- Approve work schedules and recommend increased resources and special equipment.
- Proficiency in design and AutoCAD.
- Experience as a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer supporting the design of nuclear power plants.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
- 2-7 years of relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
- Experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards.
- Experience designing in the Nuclear industry.
- Knowledge of client Engineering Change Control processes in nuclear power generation utilities.
- Good time management skills.
- Capability to interface effectively with and gain the trust of station customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will complete engineering projects by analyzing problems, organizing and controlling project elements. You will provide expert advice on design processes or construction methods and formulate and direct investigations or prototype, model, and system studies. You will analyze and interpret data obtained and recommend practical applications of results. This role requires the ability to perform reviews of complex calculations and design deliverables.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $60.10/hr.
