- We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer or Designer to support our backlog of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects.
- You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including those for the VA, OGS, correctional facilities, UB expansions, and state parks.
- Your role will be pivotal in assisting with new projects and managing existing workloads.
- Assist in the design and layout of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems using Revit.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping sizing.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
- Support senior mechanical engineers with energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis for mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Conduct field site visits during the design phase to document existing conditions and ensure compliance.
- Provide construction administration support including submittal review, RFI responses, periodic site visits, and punch listing.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or design.
- Ability to work semi-independently with minimal guidance.
- Experience with mechanical design, specification writing, and understanding of building codes.
- Proficiency in plumbing design, drafting, HVAC, and fire protection.
- Knowledge of NYS Building Codes and industry-standard design recommendations.
- Experience designing mechanical systems from the pre-schematic phase.
- Proficiency in energy modeling analysis, energy code compliance calculations, and life cycle cost analysis.
- The position requires occasional travel with GSA mileage rate reimbursement.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
