      Job Title: Mechanical Engineer


      Job Description

      Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to support engineering needs, update and maintain engineering drawings and documentation, release and manage prints and Bills of Materials (BoMs), provide hands-on mechanical engineering support to resolve production issues, and ensure design updates are implemented effectively and efficiently.

      Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to support engineering needs.
      • Update and maintain engineering drawings and documentation.
      • Release and manage prints and Bills of Materials (BoMs).
      • Provide hands-on mechanical engineering support to resolve production issues.
      • Ensure design updates are implemented effectively and efficiently.
      • Work approximately 60–70% on computer-based tasks and 30–40% on the shop floor.
      • Support machine design and component-level improvements.
      • Apply knowledge of hydraulics in troubleshooting and design enhancements.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drawing updates.
      • 3–5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
      • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
      • SolidWorks and mechanical design experience.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Good understanding of hydraulic systems and machine design components.
      • Proficiency in Team Center and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
      • Comfortable and effective working on the shop floor.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

      Work Environment

      The work environment includes both office and manufacturing settings, with 50-60% of the time spent in the office and 40-50% on the production floor. The culture is supportive, with many engineers coming from farm backgrounds due to the location in St. Joseph, MO. The dress code is casual, allowing for jeans and a polo. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
