      Mechanical Project Engineer

      Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer. This position will be responsible for Lead and coordinate product development projects. Evaluate and resolves technical feasibility, design optimization and production issues with new products.

      What you will be doing:

      CAD design – Solidworks and AutoCAD Preferred.

      Engineering Documentation/Drafting

      Mechanical design of parts both static and moving parts in order to efficiently meet strength

      and functionality requirements.

      FEA application experience a plus

      Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) or lean manufacturing.

      Product design.

      Manufacturing experience with metal products

      Project management, Lean, or Six Sigma training a plus.

      Plan, track and execute work activities to maintain commitments.

      Identify, analyze, and control change requests.

      Ability to work with sense of urgency.

      Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

      Detail oriented.

      Provides Project Management and Engineering support to New Product Development

      (NPD) projects to facilitate continued growth initiatives to product segments.

      Management of available resources and ability to manage own time effectively

      Pro-Active rather than reactive, positive mental attitude.

      Researches, plans, prepares and maintains all design requirements for assigned

      product lines & continually builds product / segment application / codes & standards

      knowledge to provide application – product recommendations backed up with

      Technical Data.

      The skills and experience you need:

      High school or equivalent

      ME or MET Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience.

      Minimum of 3 years experience in engineering or manufacturing environment.

      Ability to work effectively within cross functional teams

      Ability to plan and execute.

      Ability to utilize MS Office software.

      This role is located in Tulsa, OK.
