  We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Project Engineer based in Ranson, WV or Washington State, (onsite, requiring extensive travel) to join our Group Technology team!

Ranson, WV is just a short drive from Northern VA, with the opportunity to work on projects for extended periods of time in the U.S., Canada, Europe and/or Asia. You would be instrumental in the planning and implementation of our new factory in Wallula,WA.

  What You Will Be Doing

  Responsible for delivery of mechanical and plumbing utilities to ensure that all buildings, and all process equipment demand for utilities are fulfilled. This includes supply strategy, dimensioning and back-up considerations.

  Work with mainly design, installation, commissioning, and running-in of major projects, including that all equipment within the factory are supplied where required including: main utility supply strategy, tank requirements and installations, pump supply, dimensioning and redundancy (back-up supply) considerations.

  As expert and provider of design solutions, we look for your expertise:

  • Take full responsibility for project execution: mechanical, plumbing and fire protection utilities
  • Ensure that the necessary expertise from other departments - environment, safety, MMR’s, is included in the solutions
  • Communicate and supervise suppliers/contractors to place orders and follow up to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Ensure all documentation / reporting is done and archived following CE directives and GT rules, and available tools
  • Substantial travel inside and outside of North America is to be expected for project execution, supplier visits, coordination, etc.
  • Full mechanical utility scope for major projects, including:

    Compressed air

  • Water

    Industrial water

    Machine cooling water

    Water sanitary installations

    Potable water

    Water treatment (reverse osmosis)

    Fire safety supply – living up to the FLPM (Fire & Loss Prevention Manual

    Rain water collection, treatment and re-use (soil, surface and groundwater protection MMR)

    Erosion &sedimentation – storm water management (coordination with contractor)

    Oxygen and CO2

    Natural gas

    Building heat (gas)

    HVAC

  • Partake in budgeting and the development of tender material for suppliers
  • Ensure secrecy and treat know-how confidentially, and comply with such rules
  • Adhere to company’s code of conduct / values while representing company at all times

  What You Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years working in a similar position, with site installation, mechanical design, machine construction, design specifications
  • 3D modelling using Inventor or a similar program
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel both nationally and internationally 60% of the time
  • Extended periods of presence at project sites are required, ie. temporary relocation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Preference given to candidates who have smith, mechanic or other type of craftsman expertise

  The base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - 130,000.00. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
