      Job Description

      About the Team: Be a part of ZF's engineering team at our Gray Court, SC facility where we design and manufacture powertrain and transmission components.

      What you can look forward to as a Mechanical Engineering Intern:

      • Design fixtures and machine parts. Develop 2D CAD drawings.
      • Develop 3D Models of Machine layouts.
      • Assist in Robot programming and commissioning with Senior Engineers.
      • Procure parts from Suppliers for projects.
      • Develop solutions for identified problems or bugs.
      • Create Pneumatic circuits of projects.
      • Develop electrical drawings of projects.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during execution.
      • Create Bill of Materials and Machine documentation.
      • Test and validate projects to achieve process capability.

      Your profile as a Mechanical Engineering Intern:

      • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
      • Good understanding of Solid Mechanics and Mechanical Design principles.
      • Able to develop 2D drafts of fixtures and machine parts using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
      (GD&T).
      • Able to create 3D Models of layouts in CAD software.
      • Experience with Robot programming or any Scripting language.
      • Familiar with PLC programming.
      • Basic understanding of electrical drawings.
      • Able to create Pneumatic circuits.
      • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
