- Manage the Mechanical Engineering department, delivering innovative design solutions that meet customer expectations and adhere to the Schneider Production System (SPS).
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Production/Planning, Engineers, Customers, Suppliers, and both Front and Back Office teams.
- Support project management efforts and ensure alignment with engineering goals and standards.
- Ensure application of SPS concepts, manage capacity and demand, and drive continuous improvement through KPIs.
- Support quality management improvements and conduct root cause analysis for production delays.
- Oversee staff workload, promote employee development, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain communication and cooperation within the Energy business and with external partners.
- Ensure on-time delivery and support defect resolution.
- Uphold safety standards and promote a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification.
- Demonstrated management experience in leading a team.
- Experience in R&D and designing MV transformers & switchgear.
- Familiarity with MV distribution in Electrical Utilities is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of business financial concepts and budgeting, particularly within electrical utilities.
- Proficient in electrical distribution systems, project definition, and execution.
- Strong networking and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and SAP knowledge.
- Proficiency in CAD software (PDM/Creo).
- Leadership: Provide vision, show entrepreneurship, and empower team members.
- Technical: Strong application needs understanding, product and market knowledge, and engineering skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage change, analyze issues, and achieve results.
- Quality: Focus on customer satisfaction, enforce standards, and drive continuous improvement.
