Working within the JLR factory at Solihull. A key role supporting operations by providing a Mechanical Service ensuring repair work and routine maintenance minimises downtime, always putting safety first. Planned maintenance and repair work will involve mechanical systems, gearboxes, motors, pumps, compressors and hydraulics.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Carry out and improve where possible departmental planned maintenance programme by ensuring that the work schedules are completed on time
• Monitor plant, equipment and process operations for correct performance and define and implement strategies that drive improvement
• Monitor product quality and quantity information and formulate Continuous Improvement actions
• Ensure all relevant health & safety documentation and equipment (PPE) are adhered to
• Support the TPM autonomous maintenance programme

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Knowledge of Centrifugal and screw compressors
• Knowledge of site wide speed doors
• Knowledge of various Heating and Ventilation Systems
• Knowledge of gearboxes, chain drives and hydraulics
• Knowledge of pneumatics
