Job Description
- Req#: 25274
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
- Monitor and control materials, products or equipment to detect defects or faults on equipment refurbishment
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Maintain quality and quantity of production
- Take part and contribute in toolbox talks
- Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical discipline (essential)
- Higher education in a Mechanical Engineering subject or equivalent (desirable)
- Working knowledge within an assembly & manufacturing environment including the preparation of components would be an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Working hours of 07:30am to 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday) & 08:00am to 1:00pm (Friday)

As a Mechanical Fitter within our Solids Control team, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings, positioning parts for assembly as well as performing repairs, day-to-day assembly and fitting of the full range of NOV Wellsite Services product line. You will support, improve and lead on-time assembly of WSS products through specific techniques as well as innovative idea generation and creative, efficient problem solving.
