- Must be able to perform measurements of machined or molded components using proper set ups and measurement equipment.
- Must be a team player willing to perform multiple tasks in both QA and QC Departments.
- Be able to work in group situations with engineers, machinists and assemblers.
- Perform line clearance activities and label approvals for meter production builds including RMA.
- Able to test instrumentation for Nova meter product lines.
- Pull AQL samples from incoming materials according to inspection plans.
- Record test data accurately and in accordance with established test procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting independently for meter failures.
- QC inspection and release of Meter products.
- Assist in evaluations and pilot testing.
- Able to differentiate between system and product failures.
- Help with department personnel training.
- Able to perform measurements on machined or molded components using proper set ups and measurement equipment.

- Minimum of 5 / 7 years experience in Mechanical Inspection Field
- High school diploma, or equivelent,
- Familiar with FDA GMP regulations
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be familiar with most inspection equipment (CMM,OGP, micrometers, calipers, etc)
- Basic math skills
- Basic Computer Skills including Microsoft Office
- Familiar with most raw material QC inspection equipment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- SAP experience a plus
- Good people skills, Team player

- 5-7 years' plus experience working in a Mechanical Inspection capacity
Nova Biomedical is hiring a Mechanical Inspector I in our Enterprise Rd, Billerica, MA facility. The Mechanical Inspector will: Perform day to day inspection of Nova Meter product including, completed meters, loaded PCB assemblies, molded meter components, carry cases, printed media such as quick guides, insert sheets, labels and CD's using department equipment. The objective is to assure that only product that fulfills requirements is utilized in Nova Biomedical products and to detect any non-conforming product. Write nonconforming reports (NCMRs) for product out of tolerance. Monitor daily critical list requirements and assist other departments as needed. Perform first articles when required. Under general supervision and following established procedures and guidelines this position supplies assistance and support to manufacturing operations in hospital and consumer meter areas. Support QC inspection of Meter products in following Nova's OI's to provide release of Meter products. Other responsibilities include:
