      Job Summary

      Mazzetti is seeking stellar entry-level Mechanical and Plumbing Designers to embark on a rewarding career contributing to innovative solutions for the built environment. In this role, you will support the design and development of mechanical HVAC and/or plumbing systems for a variety of projects, including healthcare, mission-critical, and sustainable buildings. You will gain hands-on experience performing calculations, preparing technical drawings and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in sustainability initiatives.       Your Tasks Will Involve


      Design and Technical Development:

      • Assisting in the design of mechanical HVAC and/or plumbing systems, including air distribution, heating, and cooling systems.
      • Performing calculations such as heating and cooling loads, ventilation requirements, and distribution system sizing.
      • Preparing construction documents, including detailed drawings and technical specifications, using software like CAD and Revit.
      • Supporting sustainability efforts by integrating energy-efficient design solutions and assisting with LEED documentation.

      Collaboration and Coordination:

      • Coordinating designs with the Mazzetti team, including sustainability experts, and other disciplines like structural and electrical engineering.
      • Participating in project planning meetings to understand client needs and project objectives.

      Construction and Implementation Support:

      • Assisting with the construction administration process, including reviewing submittals and conducting site visits to observe system installations.
      • Evaluating existing mechanical systems on renovation projects and recommending solutions to integrate new systems seamlessly.

      Professional Development:

      • Staying current with industry trends, technology advancements, and applicable codes and standards to enhance design solutions.
      • Engaging with mentors and peers to develop technical and professional skills while contributing to impactful projects.

      Work Location: This hybrid position is based near one of Mazzetti’s office locations across the United States, including San Francisco, Sacramento, & Huntington Beach, CA; Seattle, WA; Portland & Eugene, OR; Denver, CO; St. Louis, MO; Atlanta, GA; and Nashville, TN.


      The candidate will primarily work remotely and may occasionally visit the local Mazzetti office and/or project sites.


      Travel Requirements: Occasional local travel to project sites.
