  McCain Foods is a world-leading food company and one of the largest manufacturers of potato specialties. We also produce other foods including Pizza, appetizers, vegetables, oven meals.

  Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, our Mechanical Maintenance Fitters are responsible for providing maintenance support across our Production Plants. Fitters play a key role in implementing preventative/routine maintenance programs to achieve machine and line efficiencies and minimise downtime.

  If you possess some or all of the following key attributes, we are keen to hear from you:

  • Able to work in a rotating roster, overtime and shift work!
  • Relevant Australian Trade Qualifications or Trade Recognition - Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter, Fitter/Machinist;
  • Experience and/or qualifications in Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive in investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes;
  • Excellent communication skills, able to relate to other departments and individuals and
  • Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
