Seeking a welder to support the Croatia Bradley Fighting Vehicle Refurbishment Program . Welders are responsible for the set-up and operation of handheld or machine guided welding equipment. Material joining or build up would be accomplished by utilizing positioners, fixtures, hand layout or any other means per the process documentation. The welding processes may include mig wire or tig welding, carbon arc gouging, and oxy-acetylene cutting. Welders will operate support equipment such as jib or overhead cranes, portable chippers, grinders, and various hand tools such as wrenches, brushes, lighters, scales, squares, weld gauges, etc. Welders Interact with Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, Weld Techs and Inspection personal that support the production process. All employees will be required to pass a medical fit for duty examination including pulmonary function and vision screenings. Weld Candidate Testing: Must be able to pass initial written test administered on-site to establish working comprehension of weld symbols, measurements, work instructions, etc. Upon successful completion of written test, must be able to pass on-site, hands-on weld plate test.
Welding MIG & TIG on aluminum and steel in various positions. Able to read weld symbols in drawings and put into place into work being performed. Able to use measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions of weld joints in accordance with approved joint designs. Use weld gauges to verify weld size and quality in accordance with specifications. Sufficient working experience utilizing the tools, equipment, machinery, and materials as noted in the job description. Proficiency in using personal computers or other data acquisition devices. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Must be able to function with minimal supervision.
Prior military MOS's preferred 63T, 91M, 63D, & 91E, but not required. Experience and the ability to perform maintenance on associated tasks related to maintaining power plants, engine fuel systems, air induction systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, engine starting, charging systems, track electrical, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues associated with military equipment. The ability to install modifications and retrofits
2-5 Years weld experience with a High School diploma or GED. 0-1 Years weld experience with a Trade School certificate or College degree. Sufficient working experience utilizing the tools, equipment, machinery, and materials as noted in the job description.
High School Diploma Graduate or GED Equivalency Certificate/Diploma Welding Certifications
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT:
