      Requirements
      We are searching for a candidate with:

      • A bachelor’s degree in mechatronics engineering
      • 5 years working experience as a Mechatronics Engineer with a focus on controls and automation
      • Extensive experience with the following: PLC's, HMI's, Robotics, Mechatronics (Sensor/ Actuators), Motion Control, Middleware
      • Proficient in PLC ladder logic programming (Alan Bradley, Others)
      • Knowledge with device connectivity and protocols such as: Modbus or OPC (Open Platform Communications), MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport).
      • Knowledgeable in the configuration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
      • Ability to understand and construct electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings.
      • Experience with CAD (i.e. AutoCAD Electrical or other).
      • Ability to independently replace and rewire electrical devices and systems within automation equipment.
      • Ability to define the controls and automation specifications for future specialized machine equipment.

      Duties and Responsibilities
      A typical day may include:

      • Analyze and troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment.
      • Replace, rewire and test electrical (control) devices and ensure stable production output.
      • Work with machine OEM’s or specialty machine integrators to fix, stabilize, and improve desired equipment up-time levels and reliability.
      • Research and propose controls and automation improvement solutions wherever the current equipment cannot meet the demand.
      • Install (Replace) HMI’s and re-configure as needed.
      • Data integration via Middleware enables the integration of data from different sources, formats, and protocols in effort to achieve higher levels of efficiency.
      • Integration and upgrade/ improve data acquisition systems.
      • Work with other 3rd party solution integrators and ensure reliable integration.
      • Work with IT to ensure all Operation technology (OT) solutions meet cyber security standards.
