      Job Summary

      PRN

      A regular paid position that will assist the pharmacist by performing technical, non-judgmental functions in accordance with established standards. Assists, to the degree which qualified, in ordering, receiving, billing, and distribution of drugs within the hospital. In addition, the employee will work with the medication reconciliation process, observation, and inpatient setting. Position works closely with nursing, pharmacy, and information systems to assure each patient has complete medication reconciliation during admission and discharge. Person will be required to know medical and pharmacological terminology and have excellent computer skills. Position requires a dedication to patient care and customer service.

      Job Specifications/Qualifications

      Evidence of good grooming and public relations.

      Typing skills essential.

      Good mathematical ability for calculating charges, etc.

      Use of correct fingers on a calculator keyboard.

      Initiative and integrity.

      General knowledge of routine office procedures.

      Completed any required in-services.

      Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

      Registered Pharmacy Tech with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy Required

      Certified Pharmacy Tech with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy Preferred

      Education

      High school diploma or equivalent.
