      Role and Responsibilities

      We are seeking a dynamic and culturally savvy Media Director to oversee end-to-end social and paid media operations, guiding both organic and paid strategies to drive business impact, brand affinity, and innovation. You’ll work cross-functionally with HQ, internal stakeholders, agency partners, and content teams to ensure Samsung’s voice is bold, resonant, and ahead of the curve.

      Role & Responsibilities:

      Strategy & Leadership

      • Own and lead the overall social media and paid media strategy, with an integrated approach to organic and paid performance.

      • Lead cross-functional communication strategy with HQ and internal lines of business, aligning global and regional initiatives across multiple product categories.

      • Partner with brand, PR, creative, and product teams to ensure social strategy is infused throughout the customer journey.

      • Manage and coach a team of social and media professionals, fostering a collaborative, fast-moving culture of excellence.

      Social Media Management

      • Oversee channel strategy, content planning, and publishing across key platforms like TikTok, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitch, etc

      • Lead social community management strategy and engagement protocols, ensuring timely, thoughtful, and brand-right responses.

      • Provide social-first creative briefs and content themes, ensuring a constant stream of fresh, relevant content.

      • Supervise social-first content production, from ideation to execution, in collaboration with internal creative teams and agency partners.

      • Stay on the pulse of emerging trends, memes, creators, and cultural moments, embedding them into brand storytelling.

      Paid Media Leadership

      • Develop and execute end-to-end paid media strategy (social and broader digital), from planning to measurement.

      • Drive paid media activations that are culturally relevant, experimental, and platform-native.

      • Identify innovative paid placements and partnership opportunities to amplify brand presence and performance.

      • Manage and optimize paid media budget, including agency burn rate, media allocations, and performance metrics.

      • Lead external media and social agencies, ensuring alignment on KPIs, creative execution, and platform best practices.

      Analytics & Optimization

      • Oversee social media performance reporting, with a strong focus on KPI tracking, channel insights, and optimization strategies.

      • Translate social listening and performance data into actionable recommendations that enhance content effectiveness and audience engagement.

      • Partner with data teams to develop dashboards and performance frameworks for continuous improvement.

      Skills and Qualifications

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Minimum of 10-12 years of marketing experience with 8+ years of experience in social media, paid digital, and content strategy preferred.

      • Proven leadership in managing large-scale campaigns and media budgets.

      • Experience leading agencies and cross-functional internal teams in a fast-paced, matrixed organization is a plus.

      • Deep understanding of all major platforms like TikTok, X, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, Reddit, and Twitch.

      • Demonstrated ability to turn cultural insights into creative strategy and storytelling

      • Strong understanding of creative production for social, from UGC to premium shoots.

      • Experience in working with or for media agencies to deliver on key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

      • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
