Job Description

- Maintain On-Air continuity completing all content for air according to NBC Universals Automated material management system known as the “Make list”.
- Learn and perform all SD & HD Technical Processes and technologies in the Media Operations Center & any additional process that are created in the future.
- Perform any necessary alterations and then QC all content to complete for distribution with the expectation of making 0 errors or defects.
- Learn and perform a minimum of 10 MOC Coordinator functions.
- Support NBC Universal’s Program Prep, Program Screening, On-Air Marketing and Programming with all of their ingest, export, and QC needs.
- Perform QC and segmentation duties for NBC Universal’s streaming platform Peacock.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production, post production, broadcast, or communications environment
- Knowledge of MS outlook, MS Word, & MS Excel
- Ability to work under pressure with great attention to detail
- A team player, who is always respectful, has good communication skills, and maintains a positive attitude
- Must be punctual, hardworking, disciplined and dependable
- Basic knowledge of broadcast environment including but not limited to broadcast, production, postproduction or communications
- Flexibility with work schedule; must be able to work late hours, weekends and/or holidays when needed for this 24/7 operation

- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma + relevant certification or Associate’s degree in Media or Communications or equivalent relevant professional experience
- An Understanding of SD & HD file formats and specifications
- Understanding of a production, postproduction, broadcast, communications environment, or similar industry
- Understanding of digital video/audio including compression codecs, file systems, file transfer applications and Content Distribution Management (FTP, Pitch Blue, Pathfire, etc.)
- Understanding of various media formats/file types (QT, WMV, MXF, DNX, DV, etc.) and video standards (NTSC, PAL)

Work with a highly motivated team of individuals who are responsible for the fulfillment of media content to NBC Universal’s Distribution outlets including, but not limited to, its cable networks, and online destinations. A Global Media Operations Technician must manage, enter, and find content on various platforms and then alter and QC that content for completion to air using several technical processes & technologies including, but not limited to, encoding, exporting, transcoding, restoring, editing and transferring.
