      This is professional and technical work in operating video camera equipment for creating cinematographic productions, training videos, brand marketing, and promotions through social media platforms and web-based applications for the Mobile Police Department.

      JURISDICTION YEARLY SALARY
      CITY OF MOBILE $48,175 - $77,015


      Minimum Qualification Requirements:
      Attainment of a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in marketing, public relations, or communications, preferably supplemented by college-level coursework in English and video/film production, and a minimum of three years experience in professional or commercial video production, web-based applications, and social media communication; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

      Special Requirement:
      Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

      Ability to exert physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects or materials.

      Ability to lift and transport filming equipment and props.

      Ability to travel to different locations to film pertinent environments for training videos.

      Our office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, except for major holidays, Monday- Friday.

      Eligibles selected for appointment must meet the established medical and physical standards for the class of work. The medical examination must be by one of the physicians designated by the Personnel Board. Appointees must bear the cost of the examination.
