      Job summary

      The post holder will support the Cardiology and Cardio respiratory team with data submission to support the delivery of a quality focused service.

      The post holder will work with the management team to ensure consistent and accurate submission of a specific data set within required time frames.

      Main duties of the job

      The successful candidate will be responsible supporting the operational management team. The post holder will fulfil a crucial role in fostering excellent communication and working relationships with the clinical specialties and their teams.

      You must have a strong focus on delivery and a desire for success. You should have the skills to prioritise workload in a fast paced environment, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate others effectively.       Essential

      • oEducated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) English to Grade 9 - 4 (C or above).
      • oNVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration or Customer Care/ IT or equivalent qualifications or the ability to demonstrate the equivalent experience gained in a similar role.
      • oEvidence of a commitment to continuous professional development

      Previous Experience

      Essential

      • oExperience of working autonomously in an administrative and clerical role
      • oWorking knowledge of validating patient pathways to ensure they provide an accurate record
      • oWorking of scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions
      • oDemonstrable understanding of the NHS 18 week target and associated principles
      • oExperience of operational administrative work within the NHS
      • oRelevant knowledge and experience of tracking patients through the 18 week and cancer pathways
