      Job summary

      Medical Administrator Role

      Kenmore Medical Centre

      We are looking for a full time Medical Administrator to join our busy but friendly Practice in Wilmslow.

      As part of our Admin team, you would be expected to provide an excellent service to our patients.

      You need to be well motivated and friendly with good people skills, enjoy working in a busy environment and being part of a team. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, showing understanding, care and assertiveness when appropriate.

      Experience of working in healthcare and a good understanding of Medical Terminology is essential, along with the ability to be proactive and able to work under own initiative.

      In-house training and continuing support will be provided.

      The hours of working Full Time preferable (would consider job share)

      Main duties of the job

      To provide a wide range of general administration support to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

      Job description:

      To administer the efficient, patient friendly, repeat /non-repeat prescribing system.

      Process, accurately and timely, prescription requests via the EMIS Access, patient facing messages, patient written requests, pharmacy requests and requests via the post.

      Be a point of contact for patients, community pharmacists, nursing home staff and colleagues for any queries relating to prescriptions.

      The scanning and processing of documents electronic and paper as and when required.

      Processing Insurance and medical records request.

      Generate referrals using e-referral system.

      Checking and processing of emails.

      Read coding clinical documents.

      Summarising medical records.

      Processing deductions.

      Complete all online training as required on an annual basis.

      This role has a high-volume workload and requires great attention to detail and accuracy at all times. It plays a pivotal part in both the smooth and safe running of the Practice.

      Kenmore Medical Centre has been serving the community of Wilmslow for over 60 years and is a long-established training practice. We have an active role in the Primary Care Network and are affiliated with Manchester Medical School for undergraduate education and health Education England for GP Registrar Training.

      We have 12,500 patients and we have a very good reputation in Wilmslow. We are a high achieving practice and follow an innovative patient centered care model. Staff are well supported, in-house appraisals, mentoring and postural care.

      We have recently been appointment a gold award by the LGBT Foundation.
