Job Description
- Req#: JR101640
- Verify and approve the medical accounts received each day from various sources.
- On-line processing of various medical accounts for payment with reference to claim file.
- Contact with outside professionals, workers, and other health care agencies to verify claims for medical treatment.
- Correspond with vendors, and health care providers in regards to the status of their invoices.
- Communicate various contract billing rules and expectations.
- High school diploma supplemented with medical terminology coursework.
- Experience in medical billing and/or prescription experience would be strong assets.
- Strong customer service skills including written and verbal communication.
- Keyboarding experience with high attention to detail is crucial.
- Familiarity with Alberta Health rules and regulations as well as knowledge of WCB claims procedures would be an asset.
- Reliability and time management are integral to success in this position.

Salary: Grade 6: $50,144 to $55,730
This position is temporary for approximately six months with the possibility of extension or permanency. Final candidates for this position are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
