      Work Schedule:

      This is a full-time, 100% FTE, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

      Pay:

      We offer a competitive starting pay of $18.25 per hour. Upon graduation from the program, pay would increase based on the Medical Assistant pay grade and may be eligible for up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). This position is benefit eligible.

      We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant Apprentice to:

      • Join our 10 month Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program which is designed for those interested in becoming a Medical Assistant at UW Health.
      • Attend in person classes and clinicals.
      • Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be interviewed and will be placed in Medical Assistant positions within UW Health.
      • Gain hands on experience in direct patient care tasks, processes, and procedures in an ambulatory setting to include administrative and general clinical procedures.

      Education:

      Minimum – H.S. Diploma or equivalent Formal acceptance into the UW Health Medical or Nursing Assistant Clinical Apprentice Program.

      Work Experience:

      Minimum – One year of prior work experience.

      Licenses and Certifications:

      Minimum – CPR/BLS certification through the AHA must be obtained within 4 months of the apprenticeship start date. Course will be offered as part of the training.
