- Perform nursing and administrative duties to support patient care.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs and reviewing medications and allergies.
- Enter health questionnaire information into the Electronic Medical Records system, WebChart.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Assist physicians or physician assistants in preparing for medical procedures.
- Verify patient identities using date of birth and full name.
- Perform medical procedures and complete accompanying paperwork.
- Promote office discharge process by scheduling tests, appointments, and writing lab orders and prescriptions.
- Triage telephone calls for referral to physicians or nurse practitioners.
- Restock examination rooms weekly.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in good standing.
- Experience with patient care and vitals.
- Proficiency in blood collection and phlebotomy.
- Experience with insurance billing.
- MA certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NHA, etc.) in good standing is a plus.
- Experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, or pediatrics.
- Familiarity with WebChart (EMR system).
- Completion of Medical Assistant schooling.

Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to act calmly and effectively in busy or stressful situations. The role operates from 8am to 5:30pm, with potential start times as early as 7am depending on patient lab needs. No weekend work is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00/hr.
