- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program OR current licensure of Certified Orthopedic Technology from an accredited university/program.
- 3+ years Orthopedic Clinical Experience preferred; operating room experience is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of fractures and surgical procedures requiring casting preferred.
- Prior MA experience in a specialty clinic preferred.
- Previous experience in a community based medical practice preferred.

The Opportunity
Pentucket Medical is launching a walk-in, no appointment necessary orthopedic injury clinic at our Riverwalk location (370 Merrimack Street in Lawrence, MA 01843). The goal? To provide urgent, same-day visits for patients, provide appropriate evaluation and treatment, and establish needed follow up or surgical care during the visit. We also offer radiology services on-site.
We are seeking a Full Time, 40-hour, Medical Assistant or Orthopedic Technician to join our brand new Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic!
This individual will be responsible for assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with patient care to include cast/splint application and removal, instruction of all durable medical equipment as well as crutch training.
Schedule
This opportunity has a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts (7:30am-7:30pm) on the weekdays. (Example: 2 weekdays are worked one week, and 3 weekdays are worked the following week).
Additionally, every other weekend is required. The weekend hours are:
Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm
Sunday 8:30am-3:00pm
