What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the clinic physician in the examination and treatment of patients
- Conduct patient interviews and measure vital signs, recording information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Manage patient registration, scheduling appointments, and performing administrative tasks
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and assist with medical procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program
- Ability to perform point-of-care testing and draw blood specimens
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy and Medical Assistant experience preferred
- BLS (CPR) Certification is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems, preferably Epic
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety
