What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process authorization requests in the medical management system
- Work with standard coding systems including ICD and CPT
- Provide outreach for and receipt of medical records in support of utilization management processes
- Communicate with departments, medical providers, and beneficiaries to clarify documentation prior to processing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect beneficiary information

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative or medical office
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and data entry skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a customer service healthcare environment
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion or equivalent
- Managed Care experience
