- Check patients in and out, maintain demographic and insurance information, process payments, and provide exceptional customer service by helping patients understand their insurance costs and navigate their ZoomCare medical record.
- Interview patients, record medical history, take vital signs, and perform blood draws, finger sticks, and electrocardiograms (EKGs) according to medical standards.
- Apply splints and dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under provider orders
- Process and document specimen results, maintaining laboratory standards and completing proficiency testing to ensure certification compliance.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, and deliver emergency care as needed.
- Manage clinic inventory, ordering and storing supplies, and maintain basic medical equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to improve patient experience, offering feedback and creative solutions for enhanced care delivery.
- Ensure clinic cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines, supporting overall clinic operations and patient care.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; bacheloru2019s degree preferred.
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Able to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, AthenaOne and other relevant software applications.
- Excel in a fast-paced work environment, thriving under pressure and time constraints.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from a recognized and reputable organization (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross) or the ability to obtain one within 1 month of hire.
- Must be able to obtain a phlebotomy license within 6 months of hire;u00A0 equivalent licensure or training experience, preferred.u00A0
