      Medical Billing – Revenue Cycle – MVC Research (Float)

      Work Location: In office | Remote | Hybrid

      Pay: $ 17.50

      JOB SUMMARY

      The Medical Billing MVC Representative will work with law enforcement, auto insurance carriers, patients and medical partners to verify coverage and submit applicable claims. Problem solve and research and resolve coordination of benefits issues. Work as a team to meet team goals and deadlines.

      HOURS/WORK SCHEDULE

      • Training : Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00 (CST)

      • Permanent Schedule :

      • Minimum of one weekend shift (up to two)

      • Remainder of working hours completed on weekdays

      • Four 10 hour shifts

      • Five 8 hour shifts

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

      • Utilize telephone and on-line resources to research auto related transports

      • Complete adjuster follow-ups

      • Analyze/process incoming payor discovery reports

      • Process check requests for the purchase of accident reports

      • Analyze work processes to maximize efficiency

      • Work to achieve team and departmental goals

      • Work effectively as a member of a team

      • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

      • Serve as a “champion” for best practices within our “I-Care” Cultural Pillars. (Integrity / Compassion / Accountability / Responsibility / Excellence)

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Required Experience:

      • Prior experience in a medical biling office

      • Ability to work Independently or as an active member of a team

      • Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level

      • One year of experience in Healthcare/Revenue Cycle billing environment

      • Must possess empathetic and professional written and verbal communication skills

      • Proficient in Word, Excel, Office 365

      Preferred Experience:

      • Minimum of one ( 6 ) months working in a call center environment

      • Minimum of one ( 6 ) months working in a customer service position

      • Above average knowledge of Government billing guidelines

      Education:

      • High School diploma or equivalent

      Skills:

      • Ability to define and identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

      • Ability to respond to inquires or complaints from customers in a positive and productive manner

      • Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records

      • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

      • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information

      • Ability to prepare routine administration
