What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to patient health information documents
- Research and resolve coding issues while communicating with cross-divisional teams and vendors
- Administer physician quality reporting initiative (PQRI) data to report quality measures
- Generate and distribute reports for management review on a routine basis
- Assist with various projects as assigned by the direct supervisor
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma required
- AAPC or AHIMA certification required
- 1-2 years of related experience in coding or billing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook
- General knowledge of governmental rules and regulations affecting billing and coding processes
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Positive, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude
