      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Extract clinical information from medical records and assign appropriate procedural terminology and medical codes
      - Review medical documentation to ensure compliance with coding guidelines
      - Conduct peer reviews and provide reports as needed
      - Maintain patient and physician confidentiality while following federal and state guidelines
      - Stay updated on ICD-10 and CPT coding principles and government regulations

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must reside in Puerto Rico
      - Bilingual in English and Spanish
      - Minimum of 3 years of outpatient coding and auditing experience, including CPT surgical coding
      - Certified Medical Coder with credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC through AHIMA or AAPC
      - Demonstrated ability to lead process or project initiatives

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Associate's Degree in a relevant field
      - Experience with Select Coder and/or 3M
      - Knowledge of prospective payment methodologies
      - Familiarity with financial recovery processes
