What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct audits of coders’ work to ensure compliance with coding standards
- Perform quality assessments of medical records, including electronic and handwritten documentation
- Educate coders and staff on appropriate coding guidelines and practices
- Research and resolve errors or missing documentation in medical records
- Abstract and assign appropriate ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT codes for outpatient and inpatient procedures

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of medical abstract coding/auditing Pro-Fee experience
- At least 3 years of experience in coding audit or quality review work
- Coding Certification through AHIMA or AAPC
- Proficiency with basic Microsoft software and medical software systems (PM/EHR)
- Strong organizational and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional coding certifications such as CPC, CEMC, CPMA, CRC, CPB, CCS-P, or RHIT
- Experience with coding compliance in physician practices and clinic settings
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, software, and client specialties
- Strong technical skills with Excel, Outlook, and MS Office
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
