What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Travel to hospitals to collect physician encounter data for accurate coding
- Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for billing based on hospital service data
- Review patient demographic and financial information to ensure prompt reimbursement
- Handle insurance denials and determine charge resolution as necessary
- Maintain compliance with confidentiality policies and company procedures

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare billing and coding
- Professional Billing Coding certification (CPC, CCS-P) required
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and CDT codes and ability to assign them accurately
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers
- High school diploma or GED required
