What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform extensive insurance claim follow-ups for denials and appeals
- Interact with payer representatives and various internal departments
- Present information regarding denial trends to management
- Conduct timely denial reviews and claim follow-ups in accordance with payer limits
- Correct claims and file appeals with supporting documents to insurance companies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in an office billing and collections environment
- Strong knowledge of insurance, billing terms, CPT/ICD10, coding, and DRG
- Minimum of three years’ experience in medical collections
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Spine/Orthopedic surgery experience
- EPIC experience
- Hospital Billing/Collections experience
