Job Title: Medical Device Assembler - 1st Shift - $22-24/hr

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler on the 1st Shift, where you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily within a clean room environment. This position involves the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, production using microscopes, and operation of various equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to produce medical devices according to specifications.
• Follow manufacturing instructions and accurately update job documentation for traceability.
• Prepare products for packaging and sterilization.
• Inspect products using microscopes.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, and set up coating machines.
• Coat, inspect, and fold balloon catheters.
• Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations.
• Test formulations and package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
• Identify supplies that need replenishing.
• Build components needed for top-level Work Orders.
• Complete cleaning activities as required.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in English at a medium level.
• Comfortable standing for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Comfortable working with chemicals.
• Experience with microscope inspection is preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in medical device manufacturing, ideally with microscope usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Familiarity with cleanroom procedures, including gowning and de-gowning.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, aseptic, and formulation processes.

Work Environment

Work primarily within a cleanroom environment, adhering to strict cleanliness and safety protocols. The position includes two 30-minute breaks: one off the clock for lunch and one on the clock, instead of the typical two 10-minute breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
