- Support device characterization efforts of Clinical and Pre-Clinical study devices. Additionally, support Clinical study evaluations of new technologies
- Support failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving to drive the understanding of in vivo device failures
- Plan and execute post Clinical experiments for sensor and device performance characterization
- Establish and track metrics for Clinical failures across studies and programs to better determine frequency and possible root causes and/or critical parameters increasing/decreasing failures
- Develop analysis methods and determine appropriate metrics to assess the product
- Develop and maintain project timelines and provide updates and feedback to project leadership
- Evaluate and drive development of new test methods and analytical techniques for use in root cause investigations.
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, new markets, and external partners to develop and characterize new product development efforts
- Provide team and project updates and reports as needed.
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using root cause analysis methods and proven ability to utilize structured problem-solving methodologies
- Strong analytical and experimental skills and a broad engineering mindset
- Highly motivated, strong work ethic, organized, and detailed oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize activities to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Effective technical writing skills, including ability to write protocols, technical reports, and documents
- Exposure to data analysis methods and software
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Biomedical engineering, Mechanical engineering, or related field
- Experience with medical devices and working in a regulated industry preferred
- Familiarity with analytical equipment for the medical device industry
- Adept at analysis methods and analytical techniques, with the ability to construct appropriately powered and creatively designed experiments to solve complex problems
- Ability to run self-directed projects, manage timelines, and execute projects

Position Summary:
In this role you will be part of the Advanced Research and Technology team that focuses on evaluating and establishing the feasibility of next-generation technologies and products at Dexcom. This role will focus on supporting the characterization of devices used in Clinical and Pre-Clinical studies.
