- Assist in the general scoping of device development projects by providing medical guidance on device risks and benefits.
- Provide input to, and medical review of, key documents related to conceptualisation, design, and development of medical devices.
- Assess the need for clinical trials and participate in establishing clinical development programmes.
- Conduct Clinical Evaluations of medical devices, during which you leverage your clinical background, scientific understanding, and technical insight to evaluate the safety, performance, benefits, and potential risks of the device in scope.
- Provide high-quality input during health authority interactions.
- Are a reliable, flexible, open-minded, and dedicated team player, who thrives in a global cross-organisational environment with focus on continuous improvement, quality, and results.
- Have strong communication, coordination, and planning capabilities.

The position
As our Medical Doctor, your key responsibilities will be to:
You can expect some traveling activity, however, not to a degree where it impacts a sustainable work-life balance. You should be willing to move to Denmark and work in an international arena. Novo Nordisk will support you and your family with the relocation.
Qualifications
We expect you to have a university degree as a Medical Doctor. Scientific training at PhD level or similar is an advantage. It would be a great asset if you have documented experience with drug, medical devices, or Software as Medical Device development (SaMD) but not a pre-requisite.

About the department
Medical & Science Devices & Digital Health has the medical responsibility over the growing portfolio of medical devices in Novo Nordisk. This includes drug delivery devices, such as pen-injectors, devices with connectivity features, novel technology platforms supporting the administration and use of new treatments (e.g., stem cells), injection needles and SaMD. The responsibility of the department covers the entire device lifecycle from early research to post-approval life-cycle management. Besides we are involved in external collaboration projects within decentralised clinical trials.
We work in a highly cross-organizational fashion, typically at the interface between drug and device development. Our interactions involve a multitude of internal stakeholders with diverse backgrounds including device R&D, Clinical Reporting, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Marketing and Regulatory Affairs. Our key external stakeholders are the medical and scientific community and health authorities. Our team consists of 13 medical doctors, a risk management expert and 2 medical device information scientists. As a team, we highly value knowledge sharing, mutual support, and team spirit.
