- A Day in the Life | Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
- Review requisitions and order entry orders to verify the accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enter required data into the computer
- Prepare specimens for testing or send out to another laboratory for testing using the laboratory computer system
- Maintain a complete, accurate, and organized file system, filing addition/correction sheets, requisitions, and reference laboratories’ results according to laboratory guidelines
- Maintain an organized and secure supply area and reagent storage area to ensure easy access to reagents, chemicals, and supplies
- Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area
- High school diploma/GED + 1-2 years of confirmed experience
- Strong digital literacy in Word and Excel
- Excellent information leadership skills to communicate, explain, interpret, share, and present information to laboratory and hospital staff
- An effective communicator, capable of resolving how best to reach different audiences
- Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances
- Adept at crafting partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals
- Very comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Shift: Mon – Fri 12am – 8am with rotating Sat/Sun 12am – 8am.
