      Join our team as a Medical Lab Tech (MLT)! A laboratory professional responsible for performance of all levels of general testing within the analytical laboratory. The Medical Lab Tech (MLT) provides a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing and clinical relevance. In this role you will consistently functions in a self-directed manner and exhibits complex problem solving skills.

      Monthly Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek or Lake Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit Health facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible). More details available upon offer

      Qualifications

      In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

      To qualify for a Medical Laboratory Technician position:

      • 1 year related work experience preferred
      • Associates Degree in laboratory science OR
        • Bachelors Degree in related sciences, OR
        • Completion of a U.S. Military 50-week course leading to specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist or equivalent role
      • MLT ASCP or equivalent certification required within 6 months of hire

      To qualify for a Medical Technician position:

      • 1 year related work experience preferred
      • Associates Degree required
        • Bachelors Degree preferred
      • MLS (or MT) ASCP or categorical/specialty certification or equivalent required within 6 months of hire

      Physical Requirements-Light work - (Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs frequently)

      At St. Anthony Summit Hospital, our Laboratory department stands out due to its modest size. We have a team of 10 technologists who seamlessly manage seasonal fluctuations in workload. We manage all areas including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, coagulation, blood bank, and urinalysis. Each technologist serves as a generalist, fulfilling regulatory requirements and participating in projects to uphold the highest standards of laboratory work. We are a cohesive team dedicated to meeting all CAP & CLIA regulations, with a primary focus on prioritizing our patients' needs.
