      The Medical Receptionist provides frontline support in a healthcare setting by warmly wOur Companyoming patients, answering incoming calls, and coordinating scheduling and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive health information with discretion and care.

      The Medical Receptionist performs moderately complex administrative and operational duties, including managing patient flow, verifying insurance information, and handling basic inquiries regarding appointments, procedures, and office policies. They typically work on semi-routine assignments that require attention to detail and a strong sense of customer service.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Operate a multi-line phone system to handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally.
      • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
      • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verify insurance, and collect co-pays as needed.
      • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
      • Handle administrative duties such as faxing, scanning, sorting mail, and organizing patient records.
      • Assist with maintaining office and exam room supply levels and notifying staff of any logistical issues.
      • Provide accurate information about clinic hours, services, and contact details.
      • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and communication.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Less than 3 years of experience in an administrative or receptionist role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
      • Demonstrated passion for delivering excellent patient care and improving patient experiences.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED.
      • Bilingual in Spanish and English
      • eCW experience
      • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) or EMR systems.
      • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification procedures.
