We are looking for experienced Receptionist / Administrators to join our friendly team. Previous experience within a busy GP Practice is essential, along with a good working knowledge of SystmOne clinical system / Accurx, so you are able to hit the ground running, supporting our team and patients.
The ideal candidate must be confident, a quick learner, possess excellent communication and organisational skills, have a polite telephone manner along with the ability to deal with sensitive / confidential issues appropriately whilst remaining calm under pressure.
Main duties of the job
Duties to include, but not limited to
Booking appointments
Answering calls
Taking messages
Printing prescriptions
Generating pathology / xray forms
Scanning / opening post
Registering new patients
Filing
Secretarial administration / referrals
Admin duties as required
Opening & Closing premises in line with shift pattern

Role 1 is 38 hours
Monday 8am - 6.30pm
Tuesday 8am - 6.30pm
Thursday 9am - 7.30pm
Friday 8am - 6.30pm
Role 2 is 28.5 hours
Monday 8am - 6.30pm
Wednesday 8am - 6.30pm
Thursday 8am to 6.30pm
Rate of Pay:£12.21 per hour
Annual Leave:
5.6 weeks annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
Pension:
Option to join NHS Pension scheme.

Helix Medical Centre is based within Herts and Essex Community Hospital in Bishop's Stortford. We are members of the local Primary Care Network providing extended services as a hub to the local community. We also work with Allied Health professionals together with an expanding complement of ARRs staff including Physicians Associate, Clinical Pharmacist, Community Paramedic, Community Midwife, Health and Wellbeing Advisor, Care Co-ordinator, Social Prescribers and First contact physio, Dietician etc. There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within our catchment area providing an interesting and varied case mix.
