      Toledo Clinic's Primary Care Department is seeking a full-time front desk person to handle patient check out. This position will work M-F, 8:30-5:00. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.


      General Summary:

      Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.

      Works under the supervision of the Physician/Office Manager.

      Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

      Example of Essential Duties:


      1) Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.

      2) Checking patients out after appointment, Printing AVS, referrals and orders.

      3) Making next day appointment reminder calls.

      4) Answering phones - courteously and professionally.

      5) Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.

      Other Essential Duties May Include ( but are not limited to):


      6) Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.

      7) Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.

      8) Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.

      9) Other duties as assigned.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

      Required:

      - Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.

      - Computer skills helpful.

      - Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

      - Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.

      - Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

      - Adheres to all Toledo Clinic Policies and Procedures.

      Education:

      - HS diploma or GED.

      Preferred:

      - Previous clerical experience in a medical office preferred .
