- Dealing with all enquiries from patients attending the surgery
- Booking and cancelling appointments
- Booking in patients arriving for appointments
- Dealing with non-clinical enquiries regarding prescriptions
- Recording home visit requests
- Tidying up waiting area and clinicians rooms
- Filing of notes, correspondence, results etc.
- Taking results via the telephone from hospitals
- Telephoning patients with results/scans etc., at the doctors request
- Telephoning patients when necessary
- Attending staff meetings
- Chaperoning for patients when necessary.

Job summary
Ambrose Avenue Group Practice is looking for an experienced and professional medical receptionist to join our growing team on a full time basis.
You will excel in providing first-rate customer care, to help make a positive impact on our local community. You will be able to work flexibly in a team of receptionists on a rota basis, to cover our surgery opening hours.
Main duties of the job
Some flexibility is required, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues on an overtime basis.

We are a friendly and welcoming GP Practice with 16,000 patients across two sites. We use SystmOne clinical system and we are committed to training and developing both clinical and non-clinical teams.
