Job summary

We are seeking a highly organised, experienced and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. Working 20 hours over 5 weekdays, the Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Main duties of the job
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, mail/post and data entry

We are a friendly, patient focused, team orientated practice situated Oldham, Greater Manchester serving 6700 patients. Our team consists of 4 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 practice nurse, 1 AP, 2 HCAs, a pharmacist, a focussed care worker, a safeguarding care coordinator as well as a fully established admin team. Our practice is also a training practice with up to 5 trainees at different stages of training supported by the partners and salary GPs.
