Job summary
North Swindon GP Practice is expanding their team of Medical Receptionist/Administrators. We're excited to add our branch surgery Crossroads Surgery to our Practice and the successful applicants will be working across both sites.
We are a busy Practice with circa 20,000 patients. You will be expected to contribute to the smooth running of patient-facing and back office operations as part of the reception team.
The role of a GP receptionist has changed drastically over the years to one that can be very challenging and sometimes very stressful so a calm and mature outlook in these situations is a must.
Experience preferred.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have a mature outlook and remain calm under pressure. There is lots of face-to-face contact at the Reception desk, various admin duties, liaise and support clinical staff and of course, answer the many telephone calls that come in to the Practice. Where necessary, telephone calls are signposted to the most relevant clinician so attention to detail and a good listener are essential qualities. The candidate must be computer literate to a high standard. Please see job description for more detailed information.
