- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in medical records or transcription preferred.
- Medical Terminology preferred.
- Computer skills required with the ability to operate computer software applications, fax machines, scanners and external removable storage devices required.
- Accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation skills required.
- Strong oral and written communications skills required.
- Must be presentable in a professional manner and be a team player.
- Must have a valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel to multiple physician practices daily.
SUMMARY:
The Medical Record Procurement Specialist will support both the Risk Adjustment Department and the Chart Preparation Department through retrieval and acquisition of FHCP member's medical records. The Medical Record Procurement Specialist will work in paper charts, electronic medical record systems, both in person and remotely, to support the completion of medical record review. The Medical Record Procurement Specialist will be able to multitask, have strong organizational and communication skills, and work cooperatively with our contracted providers, facility providers and, the FHCP multi-facility integrated health system.
