- Summarising new patient records to a high standard within an agreed time scale.
- Using medical knowledge to correct mistakes found in existing patients records,
- As required, restructure the medical records to the practices standards.
- Maintaining a structure when recording new information
- Assisting GPs with queries relating to the medical records.
- Any other duties which may be required within the nature of this role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for this role
- Methodical, accurate with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of both EMIS and SystmOne

Job summary
Falmouth and Penryn PCN is looking for an individual to work in a team environment undertaking the summarising of patient records, according to a set protocol which has been agreed by the practice.
Main duties of the job
About us
The Falmouth and Penruyn PCN formed in 2019. It brought together 4 local GP surgeries across Falmouth and Penryn, serving approx. 48,000 patients. With the combined workforce, skills and knowledge, we are in a unique position to assist our patients across the county.We provide care for an interesting and diverse population, ranging from students and young families to the elderly. The four GP practices are geographically close to one another and have a long history of working together.
As well as the beautiful coastline and beaches that Cornwall is famous for, Falmouth and Penryn have a lot to offer if you were considering a move to the area, with excellent schools, the University and plenty of cultural activities.
There is a wide socio-economic demographic served within this area which provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators across each of our 4 practices. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.
