Job Description
- Req#: 125240
- Maintains medical records in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards
- Assures appropriate release of information from Hospice Care to other parties, to include obtains signed authorizations and copies of medical information requested
- Works with clinical staff to assure timely and appropriate admissions
- Develops and maintains a master patient index
- Provides agency administrative support to include answering phones, ordering supplies, date collection and entry
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years’ of experience in office work of working in medical records department
- Must be able to effectively operate office equipment to include computer or tablet
- Excellent organization, record keepin, filing, typing skills; good oral and written communication skills; documentation management
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility by performing a variety of tasks, often changing from one to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
