Job Description
- Req#: 12317
- Organize and prioritize requests for medical records as appropriate based on time of exam.
- Retrieve and route records in a timely manner.
- Catalogs, files and purges records on a regular basis.
- Provide courteous, professional service to attorney's and attorney services requesting medical records through subpoena.
- Provides courteous professional service to referring physicians and referring physicians’ office staff requesting records or information.
- Provides courteous and professional service to internal customers requesting records or information.
- Adheres to all medical records and service protocols as required by supervisor and state and federal regulations.
- Promote public relations with patients, doctors, vendors and other clients on the phone and in person.
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in promoting positive patient relations.
- Assist supervisor as needed in meeting department standards and objectives.
- Keeping informed of RadNet policies and general environmental conditions to provide input and propose solutions to problems whenever possible.
- Genuinely passionate about customer service and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations
- Able to demonstrate high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and have the ability to multitask
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for prioritizing work with a structured approach, and enjoy providing world class customer service
- Must have one of the following: a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have strong organizational and filing skills
- Possesses and utilizes excellent customer service skills, strong public relations skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized, possess clerical skills, and have the ability to interact effectively with referring doctors and staff, attorney’s, attorney’s services, patients, vendors, peers, and management.
- Previous experience at similar hi-volume customer service environment a plus.
