      The Medical Record Retrieval Specialist will be responsible for medical record collection including telephonic, electronic, and/or on-site data collection for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and Risk Adjustment (RA) purposes. This individual will collect data following established procedures and upload the medical records into internal databases. We are looking for team members that possess high energy, a strong work ethic, integrity, and who enjoy working for a collaborative, team-oriented system.

      salary: $19.99 - $20 per hour
      shift: First
      work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
      education: High School

      Responsibilities

      Plan, organize and coordinate data retrieval activities including

      • Verify provider demographics and establishing points of contact.
      • Pursuit via phone call, fax, mail, electronic medical record system retrieval and direct onsite pick up.
      • Work with any copy services or medical record vendors used by providers to obtain records.
      • Follow-up outreach as needed.
      • Verify completeness and legibility of records upon receipt.
      • Accurately upload records to internal databases.
      • Document all provider interactions.
      • Assist the Manager(s) and Director(s) in the coordination and preparation of the HEDIS and RA medical record collection process.
      • Monitor and report on progress on retrieval activities on regularly scheduled basis.
      • Escalate potential provider issues to manager to avoid delays in receiving records.
      • Maintain HIPAA standards and immediately report critical findings to designated authorities
